Small, light and simple single-hander. Around 1650 boats have been built since 1976, in wood and GRP. Second-hand prices range from £500 to £4000, new price approx. £4500. Streakers are relatively easy to rig and sail, and are becoming quite popular, although good second hand boats can be hard to find. The portsmouth handicap rating seems very favourable, - faster boats find Streakers hard to beat.

There are about 10 boats in the club and a strong core which travels to Open meetings and the National Championships. The Streaker Nationals was held at Pennine SC in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
